Why I am a Chiropractor

Since my youth I was interested in healthcare. However, I took the easy path into the family business of teaching. Early in my teaching career I had an opportunity to specialize in working with students with learning disabilities. During this time I became interested in the role of nutrition and neurological development in the students I served.

I thought there must be a way to help these young people as well as adults achieve better health without the use of drugs. So I began to investigate non-allopathic healthcare systems. I found that spinal manipulation improved my energy level and sense of wellbeing. I returned to undergraduate school to take the necessary prerequisites in biology, physics, and chemistry and began my chiropractic education in the fall of 1981.
